pull one's weight 盡到責任

只要想像工作是在「做牛做馬」，就很容易瞭解 pull one's weight 是什麼意思了，因為 weight 是「重量」，pull one's weight 字面上的意思就是「拖著該負擔的重量走」，也就是盡到一個人該負的責任。
對話中 Alan 說 I'll let the boss know you more than pulled your weight. 注意 more than 要放在 pull one's weight 前面，這是口語習慣用法。

Tourist:　Can you suggest a good, all-1)inclusive tour around Washington?
Guide:　Certainly. Are you interested in a half-day or a full-day tour?
Tourist:　I think a half-day tour would be fine. We'd like to see the most famous sights.
Guide:　Then I'd suggest our national 2)monument tour. You get to see plenty of sights and also learn some interesting history.
Tourist:　What kind of transportation do you provide for the tour?
Guide:　We have comfortable, air conditioned busses. Your driver will be your guide and 3)narrator.
Tourist:　Do we also get free time to 4)explore the sights on our own?
Guide:　A little. We make a stop to visit the National Mall. However, most of the 5)sightseeing is done from the bus.

觀光客：你可以推薦我不錯的華府全包型套裝行程嗎？
導遊：沒問題。你想要半日遊還是一日遊？
觀光客：我想半日遊就可以了，我們想參觀最知名的景點。
導遊：那我建議你參加我們的歷史巡訪團。你會看到許多景點，還會學到一些有趣的歷史。
觀光客：你們這個行程提供什麼樣的交通工具呢？
導遊：我們提供舒適、有空調的巴士，司機會兼任導遊和解說員。
觀光客：我們也有時間自由參觀景點嗎？
導遊：會有一點時間。我們會在國家廣場稍作停靠讓遊客參觀。不過，大部分都是在車上沿途觀光。
